Transformers — Cybertron annual event

Hasbro's Cybertron Annual event, Charge! Transformers, took place on the fourth floor of Shanghai Mart. Yangben Cloud provided technical support and prop production for the most technically demanding parts of the event.

From 7 August to 23 October 2016 in Shanghai, Charge! Transformers ran at Shanghai Mart. Yangben Cloud provided technical support and prop production for the most technically demanding parts.

Charge! Transformers was the world's first Transformers-themed sports experience, covering more than 8,200 square metres. It included a glowing circular running track, a Transformers cycling energy challenge, film-scene games, and mini-golf and basketball in the Mini Transformer Training Camp. A giant Titan base hosted a range of sports challenges. Life-size Autobot and Decepticon models and rare Transformers toys were also on display.

Yangben Cloud built the complete interactive systems for two attractions, Windbreaker Marathon and Decepticon Invasion. A central computer and peripheral controllers handled motion sensing, touch input, emergency stop protection and high-speed object recognition. Over three months of heavy use by Transformers fans, the systems held up and met expectations.

Windbreaker Marathon: speed and lasers. Run on the circular treadmill.

The system counts down and starts automatically when the runner steps on. Participants run in time with the fight between the Autobots and Decepticons on screen. Reaching the end earns points. An emergency stop button ends the run if needed.

Decepticon Invasion: defend against the Decepticons with a Hasbro Nerf bow. Are you ready?

Hit the glowing target centre, red for Decepticons and green for Autobots, and the target changes colour. The player scores.
